Thoughts while getting Closer...

We're celebrating daily as our journey gets closer! You can now see part of Amelia's little room. It's just what I had envisioned. How often do our expectations match reality? Not often in my case, but when I look at Amelia's room, I'm so happy that reality actually exceeded my expectations! ha.

I wonder what she will be like? Will I meet her expectations? Should I even have any expectations? That's a difficult one to consider.

I'm working in Sioux Falls, SD today. Powerful Communication Skills for Women. I love this class. The women are eager to learn, and I'm eager to share things that work for me. My mind is split though - I fully think about the program "in the moment", but the moment there is a lull, my mind races back to Amelia. Is this normal? I guess I'll be finding that out in the upcoming months and years.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wow! We have a lot to be thankful for. Our family, our friends, our faith, and of course we, specifically, are so very thankful for our little Amelia!! We're comin' honey. 20 days until we leave, and 25 days until we hold you in our arms! I'm going to try and post some pics of you on here, and see how it works.

second time around

Well, as I was afraid of, the first time I tried this it didn't work. YES, I'm pushing out those walls of my comfort zone! Ouch! So many ways I've been doing that in the past week. Ordering a new computer, finishing the data that has to go on my updated website, and running around like crazy trying to get ready to leave for China! Oh my, yes.

We leave Dec 15th for the trip of a lifetime. Tom and I leave here a couple, we return the 29th a family. Our sweet daughter Amelia AiYan is waiting for us! I'm so grateful.

First day on the blog

Well, here I am getting out of my box, and trying some new technology. It's such old hat to many of my client's and students, but this is a bit uncomforatble for me! Seems like I've been doing a lot of uncomfortable things lately. Ordering new computer, completing data for update to the website, getting ready to go to China!!!! I can't believe I'm writing that!

We leave for China the 15th of December. We're going to China a couple, and we're coming home on the 29th parents. How about that. Some things are so amazing they are beyond words.

I can't wait!
